Each skateboard is hand assembled by a well trained Tailtap employee using the highest quality period correct components. We start with the new very authentic flat single kick Alva tri logo deck, then we bolt genuine Tracker 139mm trucks to it along with .25 inch Tracker riser pads.. For wheels we use the amazing new re-issued aluminum cored Gyro Hub Wheels and as for bearings we are using Powell bearings- a name synonyms for quality precision ball bearings. Our Alva Tri Logo complete has both the look and feel of a skateboard you might have found yourself riding in 1981. A fun retro ride and true blast from the past. This is a great board for those that are unsure about the size of a Pigme but still want the same performance. This board is great to skate to the store, surf check or to lay down some Bertlemann slides. The Twenty Seven is a scaled up version of the Pigme and is a favorite amongst the GFH crew. At 27" it can still be thrown behind your seat and is perfect for skating through the airport and evading night patrolman at your local skating spot. We tried out several different truck combinations, but we ended up going back to the GFH old school 3" trucks. You get a different feel with these mini trucks that you can't capture with a larger truck. You will notice that the other guys are using a 5" trucks on similar sized boards and the ride isn't the same. Why do they do it? Who knows? Try both and feel the difference for yourself.
